Using screenshots taken every day for a period of ten minutes in May 2022, this work creates an infinite number of obfuscated images of the artist's digital workspace. Each composition fades over a period of thirty seconds and, once completely faded, will never be seen again. This is Dawes’s first real-time generative work, complete with a bespoke screen and specifically engineered machine at the back, where all one needs for the work to function and keep creating new images, is to plug the screen into electricity.
