Matterlurgy
During their residency at GAZELL.iO, Matterlurgy will share work from AIR_MORPHOLOGIES, a project investigating the materiality and composition of air pollution particles, their causes, effects, and morphological agency. The artworks will address toxic matters across film, sound, photographic collage, and VR. AIR_MORPHOLOGIES was initiated during Matterlurgy’s time as UK Artist Associates on the Science Technology Society program at Delfina Foundation (supported by Gaia Art Foundation). They collaborated with scientists from the University of Cambridge, King’s College London and arts XR, an immersive production studio. The VR prototype developed with arts XR was shown at Delfina Foundation in 2019 and Tate Modern in 2020.
