“101 Opportunity Abstractions” represents a series of AR iPad screen captures taken in the interior of the disassembling AR Mars rover from my 2014 installation, “Opportunity Rover Too.” The rover functions as a Duchampian generator of abstract imagery, updating some of the Dadaist notions of mechanical vision to an era of computer-generated aesthetics and unlimited versionhood. These works also evidence an encounter with three-dimensional virtual space and the moments opportunistically captured.
