I was invited last year as a panellist for the NEW REALITIES (When tech and creativity collide) event at HERE EAST in Located in Hackney Wick. Hallidonto was interviewed by Ben Thompson from the BBC about his Arts Residency with Hobs studio and how VR has opened up his practice especially given Hallidonto’s subject matter (Cyborgs).
The panel had Tech lead for Hobs Kadine James https://hobs3d.com/. Together Hobs and Hallidonto, are in dialogue about a potential collaboration with Ai Build lead by Daghan Cam who was also on the panel Hallidonto wants to push the boundaries of contemporary drawing practice, with VR and robotic acting as the prosthesis. This Man-machine interface and the inclusion of the robot acting as the ‘creator’ to give life to these organisms, what will VR, robotics, Ai hold for the Cyborg, what’s next for the factories of the future. Hallidonto’s work is truly a reflection of the current zeitgeist of society.
