The Loop (In Pieces) is one of the four scenes of the VR work In Pieces, Sketches of a Dystopian Present. It narrates the weekly travel to Madrid by the wife and son of one of the Catalan political prisoners. From November 2017 to July 2018, the prisoners were held about 650km from their homes, which added an extra punishment to their families, both economically and emotionally. They are now closer to home, but still locked in.

Joan Soler-Adillon developed this first version of In Pieces. Sketches of a Dystopian Present during his residency at #gazell.io in October 2018.

The resulting 10/12 minute VR experience was exhibited at Gazelli Art House from October 16th to October 31st, 2018.
