About The Artwork
As I continue developing my Soft Grounds series this week, I wanted to showcase some works in progress and views "behind the scenes." The first two artworks, SOFT GROUNDS: 105, 10" were generated from data collected in the Appalachian Mountains- specifically from remediated mining sites. These expansive landscapes are filled with vibrant shades of green during the month of May. Technological and geological scars are shrouded with layers of dense, lush vegetation. The artworks presented today are snapshots, through the lens of the machine, of regeneration, growth, and optimism.
