About The Artwork
The excerpt from Contraband looks to explore a prevalent object relationship that makes a concurring appearance in the ‘Juice’ universe. There are many object relationships that exist everywhere and go unnoticed, but the most intriguing ones are the uncanny and unfamiliar meetings. The practice serves to create a phenomenon worth investigating and highlighting. These objects gain value within the simulated and imagined environments of ‘Juice.’
In a digital form, the tiger oil liquid attempts to traverse through an identifiable pillar. The pillar exists as a symbol for public space and grandeur. Although hidden in many realms, the desired object cannot go uncovered. The work explores how consumption outweighs fragility.
The tiger oil acts as an agent that takes many roles in Juice. In Contraband the liquid becomes an item worth smuggling. Hiding it in any way to get through security.
