The reality that we exist in may be considered as temporary, in that, nothing physical remains in it, due to the laws of impermanence. So, is our waking reality a virtual reality then? Are we living in simulation?

We use tools and technologies to create VR worlds in order to experience them. Similarly, the everlasting consciousness at exists inside us drives the body to experience this world through our five senses. The body is therefore just a vehicle or tool to experience this 3rd dimensional reality that we find ourselves in just like technology we use to explore VR worlds.

So really when we experience virtual realities through technology, we are experiencing a virtual reality within the virtual reality, the one we operate in everyday, the world as we know it. The one in which nothing remains and everything only exists for a period of time and then disappears……by definition is virtual (not real or permanent)!

The nesting of such realities appears to be fractal by nature like everything else, advances in science in particular quantum mechanics are showing signs that our reality may well be a hologram projected from another part of the universe. So yes we could very well be living in a simulation or the game of life. I wonder who the operators of it are !!

The irony of all this is that the only permanent (non-changing) thing in the universe i.e the consciousness that exists in all of us, is evolving by experiencing temporary, virtual, (changing) realities be it through using the human body or technology as the vehicle for this.
